I like use a sand-like texture on sterling silver pieces. The stippled texture creates a contrast to the shiny, riveted surface in my pendant bracelet. (Above right) This texture reminds me of the sand I walk on during my daily beach walk.

Pearl In A Cup Ring
Double ring shank close up..
Pearl in a cup ring with matching earrings.
When I wear pearl jewelry it’s a reminder of the sea. I feel the connection to things about water. I love that connection because it makes me feel close to my muse, the sea.
This ring features a AAA pearl, which has a gorgeous, rich luster. The pearl is nestled in an organic shaped sterling silver cup that creates a halo around the pearl. The comfort fit ring band means this ring shank is flat on the inside won’t roll around you finger. The outside of the ring band has a rounded profile.

Bezel set sea glass pendant.
Our family adopted Nadine from Save-A-Pet in Port Jefferson Station, NY in November of 2018. She is a ball of energy and constant source of happiness in our lives! Nadine is my companion and studio assistant.

These “wishbone” hoop earrings developed out of a ring shank design I was working on. I was in the process of splitting a ring band in half and it occurred to me that the split wire mimics the shape of a wishbone. I decided to go off plan and let creativity take hold, and adapted the ring into an earring. Sometimes the best creations are spontaneous!
The small bead of orange carnelian is crowned with a silver cap that finishes the bead.

Sculptural Hoop Earring
Hoop earring
I like to style this double leaf pendant with heavy winter sweaters. It’s bold and holds its own in the many layers I wear during the winter.
The double leaf pendant features a bezel set rhodonite. This semi precious gem is the state gem of Massachusetts. It adds a splash of earthy red color that compliments the hand carved brass leaves.
I created this pendant based on a drawing of a red chestnut oak leaf I found in my yard.
You can get a smaller version of this leaf pendant at my Etsy store.

Good times at the beach with my husband and daughter
A classic pearl stud earring is always a good choice to wear. I like the way they make a statement in a subtle way. I updated the classic look of these “pearls in a cup”. These stud earrings are for pierced ears.
This image shows you how lustrous the 6mm cultured pearl is. I form the sterling silver cup the pearl sits in from a sheet of flat sterling silver. It creates a halo of silver around the pearl. Want more? You can find more in my online store here.
The vertical pendant is stacked with two pieces of sterling silver rectangles. The bottom layer beach sand like beach sand, creates a contrast to the polished top layer. Sterling silver rivets punctuate the surface and join the 2 layers together. In some of the pendants I use gold rivets. A soldered jump ring attaches the pendant to a sterling silver rolo chain with a lobster claw clasp.
The vertical dangle earring is approximately 1” long with three 10 karat gold rivets. They are light weight and comfortable to wear. Sterling silver ear wires have rubber earring backs for security.

Sometimes its great to have an uncomplicated ring to wear especially when your out of doors, working in the garden bike riding or where every your day takes you.
No setting to get snagged on anything, no gems to get scratched, loosened or dirtied
My husband and I share wearing this ring and I really like that, it’s kind of fun.

A visit to Southampton, New York wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Tate’s Bakeshop. It’s well worth a visit to this bakery where their signature chocolate chip cookies all began. Inside the green bag are Tate’s chocolate chip cookies, my favorite!
